Access
Is well signposted - You enter the Manyeleti reserve – you pay your conservation fee there – pensioners get a discount. Follow the instructions provided by the camp to get to Buffelshoek and not the GPS – approximately 30km into the reserve
Accommodation
Accommodation is in permanent tents with bathroom. (5 in total) Meals and drinks are included. The camp is a bit run down but this did not in any way deter us from enjoying an absolute gem of an experience. Solar power – charging of batteries and phones is done in the living area of the camp. You will need a torch and you are escorted to your tent at night since it is completely unfenced
Booking
Directly with establishment (cheaper option) or on booking.com
Photo opportunities
So many – you are driven off road so whatever there is – is close to you. We saw cheetah, leopard, lions (as well as a white lion) – buffalo, elephant, chameleons, birds, were charged by a black rhino. Night photography possible with a spotlight
