Mountain Zebra

Mountain Zebra

Approximately 12 km from Cradock – Eastern Cape on R61 – off the N10

Access

Very easy access on main national roads. A 4x 4 is not required but vehicle with high clearance is recommended in the park itself. Some of the roads within the park are very narrow but are in good condition. The views are spectacular

Accommodation

This is a Sanparks reserve. A variety of accommodation is available – camping / chalets. There are some mountain chalets as well but am unsure if these are accessible by a normal vehicle

Accommodation we stayed in is comfortable and is self-catering. The park has a restaurant

Booking

Sanparks website

Pensioners discounts are available at certain camps and during certain periods Note you can only use the call Centre to obtain these – not the online reservations

Photo opportunities

Well stocked with game. Cheetah and Lion are in the park as are Buffalo. Not forgetting the extremely photogenic Mountain zebras. Plenty of birdlife, Wildflowers. A mountainous area so landscapes including sunsets and rock formations are beautiful.

Highlights

Beautiful Landscapes, birds, flowers and general mammals. The park is extremely well maintained and is kept very clean
