Elephant plains Sabi Sands

Adjacent to the Kruger National Park and the Manyeleti in the private Sabi Sands reserve. Close to Orpen gate if accessing this reserve from within Kruger Park

Access

Can be accessed from the South or the North or close to Orpen gate from within Kruger National Park. The few km drive through Acornhoek can be quite stressful due to bad roads and is very busy at certain times of the day. Once at the lodge you do not self-drive but do game drives with the lodge vehicle and guides

A higher end resort in terms of price with a few options in terms of suites. Fully catered and the quality of accommodation, food and service is excellent

Directly with the lodge or if joining up with a photographic safari they will do the booking

Photo opportunities

Well stocked with game – this is a fabulous and guaranteed big cat experience. The guides are able to drive off road hence you are within metres of the cats. The guides are so experienced at positioning vehicles for photographers. The cats are quite habituated and used to the vehicles so are generally calm and relaxed. Night photography using flash or torches is a must do

There is a lot of other game as well as birds
